The Neighborhood Vibrancy Grant Program recipients were announced on March 30th by the beautiful City of Fishers, home to one of our office hubs. This matching program focuses on providing special funding to improve and make the city of Fishers a better place to live each and every year. They achieve this by coming up with innovative ideas that bring positive impact to each community.

The program started in 2000 and has expanded over the years. You  might have heard of it being referred to as the Neighborhood Matching Grant, the name has since changed. During its inception, there were seven applicants and close to $16,000 in grants distributed.

By 2012, $10,000 was raised and distributed amongst 17 applicants by the Tree Matching Grant. Since 2020, these two grants have joined forces and are now referred to as the Neighborhood Vibrancy Grant. As you can tell, the program grows each and every year. So much so, that the Director of Planning and Zoning, Megan Vukusich has stated of its success “We have seen this program grow and offer neighborhoods the opportunity to add new, innovative and sustainable projects”

As of this year alone, 21 applicants were accepted into the program and close to $87,519 in funds are to be distributed and awarded. Additionally, these winners are encouraged to look for sustainable ways to help the environment and our city.
